Sunday night, October 9, 2011, School Board candidate Judy Gruggen withdrew from the race. She was recently diagnosed with thyroid cancer on Friday, October 7. “Thank you for the support,” Gruggen commented to the people intending to vote for her. “I really wanted to build a collaborative relationship with the community and school administration and I hope to see that happen.”
The remaining four candidates vying for the three available seats are Maureen Bartolotta (incumbent), Dick Bergstrom, Nelly Korman, and Rick Oliva.
Gruggen’s son will be taking down signs. She asked that any missed, be thrown away.
