Bloomington Big Lots is open for business

Community leaders, Bloomington Chamber of Commerce members and Big Lots’ executives and employees celebrated the opening of Big Lots in the Valley West Shopping Center on France Avenue and Old Shakopee Road (map) with a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday morning, November 16.

City of Bloomington Councilmembers Tim Busse and Tom Hulting helped cut the ribbon.  The closeout retail store also presented Jefferson High School Principal Steve Hill with a $2,500 check. Mr. Hill said the money would pay for extra curricular activity fees for students in need.

The Bloomington Big Lots is 21,800 square feet and resembles a big box retail store. Customers will find consumables, furniture, home decor, mattresses, toys, electronics, tools and greeting cards.  Big Lots says their inventory is always changing. Right now ten percent of the store is filled with seasonal items for the Christmas Holiday. There is also an assortment of electric fireplaces.

Big Lots is open everyday 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and is located at 10590 France Ave South, Valley West Shopping Center, Bloomington, MN.
